Sales Engineer

What we are looking for

As a technical sales engineer at reinfer, you'll combine a deep technical knowledge of our platform with a strong focus on customer engagement, in both the pre- and post-sales phases.

You're someone who enjoys learning the intricacies of a sophisticated product and being a technical expert in the room as much as you like working with customers and helping them solve their problems.

What you'd be doing

In the pre-sales phase, you'll support the sales team by explaining and answering questions about the platform's architecture; writing whitepapers, technical documentation; and delivering proof-of-concept demonstrations of the product to potential customers.

On the post-sales side, you'll be the primary technical point of contact for existing clients, coordinating deployment and integration of the reinfer platform and advocating for the customer's needs and priorities into our development team.

Skills and experience
  • Experience in a technical pre-sales engineering / solutions architecture role
  • Interest in and experience with leading customer engagements
  • Experience with defining customer requirements and advocating for customers' needs to development teams
  • Detailed grasp of highly-available cloud software/service architecture
  • Hands-on experience with software deployment, troubleshooting and automation in a Linux-based cloud environment (e.g. Docker on Kubernetes)

Backend Engineer

What we are looking for

As a Backend Engineer at reinfer, you’ll become a core member of the engineering team, building a scalable, highly available and secure Machine Learning platform. We’re looking for someone who’s a hacker at heart, loves programming and can learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements. Beyond that you need to be kind, courteous, motivated, self-starting, honest and responsible.

What you'd be doing

As part of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining our backend microservices, including the public-facing API, data-aggregation and real-time processing pipelines. The stack is written in Python with a sprinkle of Rust, and runs in Docker, orchestrated by Kubernetes.

  • Python development experience

Enterprise Professional Services Lead

What you'd be doing

As a Customer Success Lead, you will be responsible for delivering reinfer’s cognitive automation platform directly with enterprise clients. This is a technical project management / consultancy role requiring sophisticated client and stakeholder management. You will be a skilled relationship builder who can liaise with internal engineering teams and build trust with customers as they journey from pilot to production, ensuring successful integration and deployment.

You will partner with the customer as trusted advisor, guiding the client to understand reinfer’s system architecture, core capabilities, successful integration within broader IT landscape, information security, route to deployment, effective user engagement, education and use-case prioritisation.

Skills and experience
  • 3-5+ years working in professional consulting or project management positions with demonstrable client-facing experience
  • Bachelors Degree from leading university
  • Knowledge and experience of Enterprise the IT landscape - infrastructure, architecture, data-centres, cloud deployment, information security
  • Background in delivering successful digital transformation projects.
  • Exposure to financial services operations (e.g. insurance, capital markets)

What you'd be doing

In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. Taking part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritisation and external communications.

You’ll lead product marketing initiatives for our Machine Learning products and services including go-to-market strategy, positioning & messaging, product launches and sales enablement. Leading customer engagement marketing programs to drive high engagement, adoption, and growth with customers. You will help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base.

Working to scale our messages and technical content through a range of different channels you’ll work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, product development, engineering and more. Creating content, assets and stories that are engaging and inspiring. Promoting our solution and product value propositions through the development and creation of narratives, technology showcases, sales collateral, white papers, and marketing assets. Earning user trust and guiding them to solve their problems. All whilst maintaining a compelling and relevant brand voice.

Skills and experience
  • BA/BS degree in a technical field or marketing or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working in technology or software marketing.
  • Enterprise/cloud/SaaS marketing experience.
  • Experience in planning and executing multiple, complex marketing programs including budget management.

Machine Learning Research Engineer

What we are looking for

As a machine learning research engineer you will take the lead in researching and improving our production ML models. We’re looking for people that love machine learning, are interested in the theory and assumptions behind the models, and are motivated to solve real world problems with techniques that are scalable, efficient and reliable in production.

What you'd be doing

Improving and building out reinfer’s proprietary NLP models that solve intent recognition and entity extraction against vernacular, conversational text. Reading papers, proposing model improvements, implementing and testing new proposed models, and pushing the best ones to production. You’d be working alongside the CEO (PhD in ML), the CTO (ML engineer) and our CSO (Professor David Barber from UCL).

Skills and experience
  • Ability to read an ML paper and implement the models (from publications like ICML/ICLR/NIPS).
  • Experience building and testing ML models.
  • Comfortable with core concepts from linear algebra, probability and statistics required in ML.
  • Programming in Python.
  • Deep Learning frameworks (e.g. Theano, TensorFlow, Torch).
  • An undergraduate degree in a hard science, mathematics, signal processing or engineering.
  • Significant time studying ML (eg MSc, PhD, or a LOT of self-study).
  • Experience of solving Natural Language Processing problems.

UI Engineer

What we are looking for

Somebody who can help us put powerful machine-learning capabilities in the hands of non-technical users in a way which feels as intuitive and flexible as possible, all whilst we add and refine features. Somebody who loves working with the web platform and writing code that delivers beautiful, satisfying experiences, but is equally happy spending the time designing a solution which meets users' expectations and constraints before diving into the code.

What you'd be doing

Working with our back-end and machine-learning engineers, salespeople and clients to determine the best ways to harness our ML platform to deliver a product that feels great to use. Writing well-tested UI code in Typescript and React to deliver those experiences via our CI pipeline. Helping to develop a constistent internal design system and reusable components to streamline and polish this process as the product matures. Our webapp is written in Typescript, and uses React, Redux, Immutable.js and Webpack, and we have static sites built on Gatsby, so an interest in learning and using these technologies is a must.

Skills and experience
  • Commercial experience of building complex UIs using modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
  • Very strong understanding of Javascript (ES6+), HTML and CSS.
  • Experience in developing design systems and/or component libraries.
  • Comfortable communicating with REST APIs.
  • A passion for user-focused design.
  • Exposure to any of the following is a bonus: Typescript, Immutable.js, Docker, Redux, Gatsby, Webpack, Emotion.
